Bybrook
Barn Garden Centre
Taking its name from the barn opposite its
present site, Bybrook barn garden centre has in its 25-year
history outgrown its original premises in the barn and moved
here, Where the owners have developed the landscape to include
an ornamental lake and a large and decorative bridge. With
45,000 square feet of covered heated indoor display area, plus
a massive covered outdoor area, a one acre lake, plus some 5
acres of outdoor space, this is the largest and by far the best
traditional garden centre in the area. Despite other franchise
on-site the centre remains faithful to providing high-quality
plants and garden
furniture and supplies to its customers.
Everywhere you turn this distinctive centre
offers something special. Pride of place goes to the centre's
Victorian Vinery, now used as a water feature/fountain display
area. Queen Victoria is known to have used this Vinery many
times. Another fascinating structure is an original Burmese
Cart, once used as a gun carriage but now converted to more
pacifist use. The display of plants are unique in that they are
presented in a most natural way, to show you exactly what can
be achieved in the average garden.
The beds are slightly raised for maximum
effect and easy access. each small area is enclosed by
different styles of brickwork and other materials. The gift
shop stocks items too varied to list, including a most
impressive display of quality objects d'art and ornaments.
Together with the kitchen shop, garden
furniture centres, picture gallery, array of silk and dried
flowers, craft shop and probably the finest selection and
display of marine fish and aquaria in southern England, this
centre supplies everything you need to beautify home, garden
and conservatory.
