Frinton Road Nurseries

Frinton road nurseries is a family business now established for over 50 years with a reputation for friendly and helpful service, it occupies a site in Frinton-on-sea which has been used for growing plants and produce for over 100 years.

Recently the nurseries have acquired additional land at nearby Thorpe-Le-Soken, and production has now increased to supply plants to garden centres throughout East Anglia and the home counties. Over the years the professional and knowledgeable staff have participated in competitions, winning numerous awards at the trendring show and suffork show and in 1996, exhibited two winning baskets at the Chelsea flower show.

On several occasions the plant area and the flower house have been voted the best in East Anglia. The nurseries boasts an enormous selection of plants, shrubs and trees - everything needed to create or enhance a thriving and beautiful garden. In additional to all the gardening essentials one of the other highlights of this nursery is the outdoor living showroom, displaying a wide range of garden furniture, including a selection of tasteful rattan garden seats, tables and other furnishings.

During the Christmas season this showroom is transformed into a themed seasonal display of ideas and inspiration for decorating your home with beautiful and imaginative foliage, winter flowering plants and more.

The delightful applegarth coffee shop serves light lunches and home-made cakes and other treats in pleasant and comfortable surroundings. Other facilities include the fine gift shop, outdoor clothing section, food shop and for children a 'young in the country' department. recent addition is the floristry shop 'Frinton Road Flowers', where a trained florist prepares arrangements using a wide range of fresh, dried and silk flowers.
