Otter Nurseries Garden Centre

Otter nurseries was established in 1964. From beginning as a wholesale nursery producing trees, bedding plants and shrubs, it has grown into a thriving garden centre. Otter nurseries is now unusual in that they produce 70% of all the hardy outdoor plants they sell on site.

The nurseries command over 100 acres of production, where open ground and container plants are grown. With one of the largest stocks of plants in the country, today Otter nurseries is one of the largest garden centres in the south west of England, retailing virtually all their own plants. With over an acre under cover, the superb, new, extensive greenhouse is brimming with houseplants, bedding plants, old favourites and more unusual plants for the beginner and experienced gardener alike.

Nursery fresh shrubs, trees, roses, heathers and many other hardy garden plants are sold here, all guaranteed to grow in your garden. The trained staff will be delighted to answer your questions and offer advice. The centre also boasts a large selection of garden accessories and machinery, and is famous throughout the south wet for its huge display and range of garden furniture, especially wooden furniture and three piece cane suites, for outdoor use and the conservatory, most of which are in stock for immediate collection or delivery.

There is a large fencing and paving section, an attractive Koi carp pool, and a vast range of stoneware, giftware, clothing, conservatories, greenhouses and sheds. The information desk is the source for all questions and the centre's superb restaurant, which seat over 240 people, serves a selection of delicious home-cooked food, morning coffee, lunches, afternoon teas and all day snacks, much of it homemade on the premises.

Other features of this distinguished centre include its excellent facilities for people with disabilities and car parking for over 400 cars.
