Manor Garden Centre
Ruxley manor garden centre has been in the
same family for four generations. Owner Richard Evans great
grandfather began a nursery business in lee green, southeast
London in 1876. The centre moved to its present 23-acre site in
1960. he retail side of the business was up and running by
1964, and continues to grow and thrive. Today Richard, together
with his brother and other family members, continues to uphold
the proud family tradition of quality and service.
This extensive centre comprises both
wholesale and retail sections, with a very large range of
plants, garden
furniture and supplies and more covering a wide area,
with plenty of room for visitors to browse at the leisure.
The comprehensive selection of products available includes
seeds and seedlings, bulbs, trees and shrubs (including some
unusual varieties), and all manner of flowering and foliage
plants.
Houseplants are the speciality here, as the
centre boasts a superb range of hundreds of different species
and varieties to brighten every home, conservatory or office.
Other features of this centre include very large displays of
high-quality garden furniture, terracotta pots and tubs,
compost and other garden sundries, tools and a range of
attractive garden features such as self-contained
fountains.
Customers will always find something
different here, to inspire and help them to create the garden
they desire. The gift shop stocks an exciting range of cards
books, ornaments, dried and silk flowers and more, to provide
the perfect present or attractive addition to home or garden.
The licensed Italian restaurant enjoys a very good reputation
and serves excellent lunches and dinners. The extensive menu
features a number of tempting specialities, all home-cooked and
home-prepared by the Italian chef.
