Willington
Garden Centre
Founded in 1898 by the grandfather of the
present owners, Willington Garden Centre began life as a cut
flower nursery supplying towns in the north of England and
Scotland. It became a garden centre in 1972 and over the last
few years has seen considerable investment in the garden plant
area, plant house, landscaped grounds and water features
nestling beside the outstanding Garden Room Restaurant. The
horticulturally trained staff can offer friendly, knowledgeable
advice and information on all aspects of gardening and water
gardening. All the centre's trees, shrubs and hardy garden
plants are covered by a two year guarantee. To compliment the
fine selection of bedding and garden plants, the Centre has a
great choice of stone and terracotta pots, landscape materials,
rustic features, garden ornaments and water features. The
beautifully landscaped grounds provide a wonderful source of
inspiration. Alternatively, if you are looking for professional
assistance a garden design service is available.
The Plant House offers a host of brightly
coloured flowering houseplants for the home, conservatory or
office. All foliage houseplants are sold with a one year
guarantee. There is a good selection of cacti and succulents
and a Bonsai display. For the perfect gift choose from unusual
ceramics, glassware, silk or dried flower arrangements,
stationery and books. The card shop is well stocked with an
imaginative range of cards and wrap for all occasions.
Specialising in conservatory and
garden
furniture, the Garden Centre can offer a delivery
service to anywhere in the country. No visit to Willington
would be complete without a meal or snack in the Garden Room
Restaurant. The patio areas provide an ideal setting to
relax and enjoy the very special atmosphere. This Centre is
well worth a visit as are its sister centres; Frosts at
Woburn Sands and Millets Farm Garden Centre near
Abingdon.
